Jack studied musical
instrument repair from 1975 to 1982 under Chris Eala of Chris Music, Fort Collins, Colorado, and repaired brass, woodwinds,
strings and percussion instruments. From 1982-1986 he was self-employed and repairing a wide variety of instruments and teaching
guitar, flute, and saxophone. Jack graduated from Aims Community College in Greeley Co. in 1988 with a degree in Electronics
and work for NEC America as an Electronics Tech. Jack opened MIR Music in 1991 as a repair shop for musical
instruments, and taught guitar, flute and saxophone. In 2000, Jack expanded MIR Music into a full retail
music store.
Jack
can play pretty much any instrument, but his passion lies with the saxophone, and he can be seen performing locally with his
jazz group, Saxativity or an impromptu concert in front of the store.
