Casey Wise apprenticed in early 60's at his uncle's tv/radio repair shop.
He graduated from UEI (United Electronics Institute) in 1967.
From 1967 to 1977 he was an Avionics repairman for US Army - he repaired fm, am, vhf, and navigations systems on aircraft.
He received his Cet Cert (Certified Electronics Technician) in consumer electronics 1987.
He then worked at AA Electronics in Lincoln City, Wasson's Lafayette Radio and Krueg's Electronics in Portland.
In addition, Casey repaired dictation equipment for Oregon Typewriter Service,
and has field and shop repair experience in dictation equipment, copiers, word processors, etc.
As an engineering tech (for Intel and others), Casey gained experience in constructing test equipment, prototyping,
maintenance, repair and modification, and
manufacturing.
Jack studied musical instrument repair from 1975 to 1982 under Chris Eala of Chris Music, Fort Collins, Colorado,
and repaired brass, woodwinds, strings and percussion instruments.
From 1982-1986 he was self-employed and repairing a wide variety of instruments
and also teaching guitar, flute, and saxophone.
Jack graduated from Aims Community College in Greeley
Co. in 1988 with a degree in Electronics
and then went on to work at NEC America as an Electronics
Tech.
From 1991 to 1999, he opened MIR MUSIC as a repair shop for all
musical instruments,
and also taught guitar, flute and
saxophone.
Since 2000, Jack has expanded MIR MUSIC into a full retail
music store.
In addition to extensive training and experience in
repair,
Jack has taught and performed in several bands
duos, trios and quartets.
